How to restore deleted messages WhatsApp
WhatsApp messaging client is the ultimate tutorials, and therefore known about this application are always welcome.
Recently, WhatsApp allows us to perform backups in Google Drive. The copy of our conversations is done automatically every night at 3:00, to save them in a local device file (or Google Drive if you configured).
This does not mean that we can manually force a backup. But how can we restore these messages?
Restore the last backup
To restore the last backup we did, simply uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp. During the installation process of the application will ask us if we want to restore the message history, that say yes, and we'll automatically restored.
But what could cause that we can not restore them? These may be the reasons:
- History is corrupt
- The SD card (if we) where we kept the record is corrupt
- The copy is too old (WhatsApp does not allow restoring very old copies)
- The telephone number is different.
- No history or on the phone or in Google Drive
Restoring a file that is not the last
However, we can not only restore the most recent history, but not before. But for that, we must first be clear that:
The most recent files are lost
There are only backups 7 days
All messages sent or received after copying and removed before the next copy is permanently lost
Manually copy the last crushing files
In addition, as previously mentioned, we have the same phone number when you want to restore a backup.
From here, we recommend first making a backup:
This copy is stored in the / WhatsApp / Databases (can be located on the SD card), and we should rename the file to avoid losing:
msgstore.db.crypt8 -> msgstore.db.crypt8.actual Then just follow these simple steps:
1) Select Uninstall WhatsApp
2) copy to restore
3)Rename the copy
(MSGSTORE-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt8) to msgstore.db.crypt8
4)restore Install WhatsApp
5)when we asked during the process installation
in this way, we managed to WhatsApp wrong during the installation process into believing that the copy we wanted was the last and therefore allow us to restore.
As you can see, we need an explorer for Android files to perform this process or, if not, do it from your computer.
I hope you have been useful if you are what you use the backups.
